Władysław Ławrynowicz's Neo-Gothic Tenement Building at Aleje Ujazdowskie 22

Revitalisation of a prestigious tenement building located in Warsaw at Aleje Ujazdowskie 22. The building is listed in the register of historic monuments. The project has a building permit. The development will comprise 20 luxury apartments and 5 commercial units on the ground floor.

The tenement building was completed in 1895. It was designed by the architect Józef Pius Dziekoński, who drew inspiration from Venetian palaces, in particular the Palazzo Ca d’Oro. Its Neo-Gothic character is one of the few surviving attempts, dating from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, to create a national Vistula-Baltic style. The building housed apartments of a very high standard.

Aleje Ujazdowskie is part of the historic Royal Route. This elegant thoroughfare, lined with prestigious tenement buildings, grand villas, small palaces and historic edifices, leads to the capital's most beautiful parks and the Palace on the Isle in Łazienki. Close to the tenement building are the charming Ujazdowski Park, Łazienki Park – one of the largest and most beautiful parks in Europe – and the Botanical Garden.

The tenement building is located 200 m from Three Crosses Square, home to luxury boutiques and elegant restaurants. As early as the 19th century, living on Aleje Ujazdowskie signified membership of the social elite, owing to the proximity of the numerous residences of aristocrats and industrialists being built at the time. After the First World War, many legations and embassies established their seats on Aleje Ujazdowskie.
