What is PLGBC

The Polish Green Building Council is an organisation dedicated to promoting and implementing the principles of sustainable construction. It was founded in 2008 in response to the growing need to transform the construction sector towards a more responsible and environmentally friendly model. PLGBC works actively with representatives of the real estate market, investors, architects, engineers and public administration to jointly shape the future of urban planning and architecture in the spirit of sustainable development.

The organisation is a member of the prestigious global World Green Building Council network, which brings together more than 70 national green building councils worldwide. Being part of this international structure enables the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practice in the design, construction and operation of buildings.

Sustainability at High Capital Group

At High Capital Group, sustainability is one of the cornerstones of our business strategy. ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) considerations are an integral part of our activities. In 2024 the High Capital Group Sustainable Development Strategy was drawn up, and in 2025, in line with the agreed schedule, pilot activities began with the aim of developing a model for its full implementation across the organisation.

Even now, however, the certificates awarded to our projects demonstrate our commitment to creating sustainable, energy-efficient spaces. The Borowiecka Park estate has received the PLGBC ZIELONY DOM (Green Home) pre-certificate, while the VIVA PARK Rzeszów retail park has been awarded the international BREEAM certificate.

Membership of PLGBC supports us not only in implementing sustainable construction standards, but also in actively sharing knowledge and raising awareness among our stakeholders. Our goal is not only to deliver projects in line with sustainability principles, but also to foster a culture of responsible construction at every stage – from planning, through design and construction, to use. We believe that consistently promoting green standards leads to lasting, positive change across the entire real estate sector.
